Mambatturdu, comes from Kirgiz, born in 1965, graduated from Chinese Department at Xinjiang University. From 1988 to 2004, he served as a researcher at the Institute of Ethnic Literature of Xinjiang Academy of Social Sciences.  Now he is a Full Professor and MA students' advisor at Xinjiang Normal University. He also acts as Vice Chairman of Xinjiang Association of writers, as well as the Director of Xinjiang Research Center for Studies in Epic Manas.
