Kunić, Mirsad


Born April 20, 1960th in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Undergraduate Studies – Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, Serbia.

Postgraduate studies in literature, and the defense of the thesis the July 1, 2002, Thesis „Epic hero Budalina Tale“ at Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo.

Received Ph.D. at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo with theme „Shaping characters in the Borderland Epics of the Bosniac“ 2007.

 

Won a Fulbright scholarship to study research The Milman Parry Collection at Harvard University, Massachusetts, USA in the academic 2006/07 year.

 

Organized an international conference „Return of the Song: The Milman Parry Collection and Its Reception in the World, Tuzla, July 03 – 06, 2008.

Participatation at international conferences:

- Singers and Tales in the 21st Century: The Legacies of Milman Parry and Albert Lord, 03 to 05 December 2010, Harvard University, Massachusetts, USA;

- First Bosnian Slavic Congress, 25 to 29 May, 2011;

- Digitization of cultural and scientific heritage, university repositories, and distance learning, Belgrade from 30th September till 02 October 2011;

- International Forum on "Gesar and World Epics", July 15-20, 2012 in Xining City, Qinghai Province, PR China.
